In order to make the knowledge stored in the library more accessible to the general public a number of strategies are currently under review.
These include a programme of works with school groups, engaging with studies in further and higher education. Means of making this material germane to the schools' taught curriculum in history, materials and their properties, and creative design technology are currently under production.
It is envisaged that ultimately this programme of works will expand to consider all branches of the physical sciences, to reflect the scope of new possibilities afforded by the breadth of information available in the holdings of the library as they cross various disciplines.
One of our recent developments in the education and training field is the Young Engineers scheme, click here to find out more.
